عامل اصلی قاچاق مواد مخدر، ونزوئلا را متهم می کند
ایالات متحده نقش غیرقابل انکاری در قاچاق مواد مخدر و تروریسم در سراسر جهان دارد. اسناد متعددی نشان می‌دهد که سازمان سیا دهه‌هاست در قاچاق مواد مخدر و ترور در سراسر جهان دست داشته است.
از سوی دیگر، طبق گزارش‌های رسمی مقامات و سازمان‌های آمریکایی و سایر کشورها، تنها بخش کوچکی (حدود پنج درصد) از مواد مخدر قاچاق شده به ایالات متحده از کلمبیا و سایر تولیدکنندگان عمده، از طریق ونزوئلا منتقل می‌شود.
در واقع، دولت ونزوئلا از زمان به قدرت رسیدن هوگو چاوز در سال ۱۹۹۹ به طور جدی برای ریشه‌کن کردن قاچاق مواد مخدر تلاش کرده است. و جانشین او، نیکولاس مادورو، تقریباً در تمام سیاست‌های داخلی و خارجی از چاوز پیروی کرده است.
اکنون روشن است که ایالات متحده برای حمله به کشورهای مستقل به هیچ دلیل واقعی نیاز ندارد. دولتمردان آمریکا برای مشروعیت بخشیدن به اقدامات جنایتکارانه و دستیابی به اهداف غیرانسانی خود به راحتی هر بهانه ای که لازم باشد جعل می‌کنند.
ترامپ از بازگشت به آمریکای لاتین و تغییر رژیم در ونزوئلا، اهداف متعددی را دنبال می‌کند. هدف اصلی او دسترسی به ذخایر نفتی ونزوئلا است. او همچنین قصد دارد با سرنگونی دولت‌های همسو با چین و روسیه، آنها را به طور غیرمستقیم کنترل کند. هدف دیگر ترامپ از تهدید ونزوئلا، جبران شکست‌هایش در سیاست‌های داخلی و خارجی است. هدف چهارم ترامپ حمایت از رژیم صهیونیستی است. ونزوئلا به همراه چند کشور دیگر در آمریکای لاتین حامی فلسطین و مخالف سرسخت اسرائیل هستند.
ایالات متحده مدت‌هاست که مناطق متعددی را بی‌ثبات کرده و امنیت جهانی را به خطر انداخته است و باید قبل از اینکه خیلی دیر شود، به شدت محکوم و متوقف شود. آمریکا در دهه‌های گذشته با ارتکاب نسل‌کشی علیه بومیان، اعمال تحریم، حمایت از کودتاها و سایر مداخلات نظامی و غیرنظامی، در راستای منافع خود آمریکای لاتین را بی‌ثبات کرده است که همگی عواقب نامطلوب طولانی‌مدت برای مردم آن منطقه داشته است.
کشورهای آمریکای لاتین باید علیه هژمونی آمریکا متحد شوند تا از مداخلات بیشتر جلوگیری کرده و رفاه و ثبات را در منطقه تضمین کنند. همچنین ضرورت دارد مردم در سراسر جهان با قاطعیت از دولت‌هایشان بخواهند که با ایالات متحده مقابله کنند. در غیر این صورت، دیر یا زود عواقب منفی آن را متحمل خواهند شد.

During my time as head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), I frequently travelled to Colombia, Bolivia, Peru and Brazil, but never to Venezuela. There was simply no need.
The Venezuelan government’s collaboration in the fight against drug trafficking was among the best in South America, rivaled only by Cuba’s impeccable record. This makes Trump’s narrative of a “narco-state” in Venezuela sound like geopolitically motivated slander.
The 2025 World Drug Report tells a story that is the opposite of the narrative peddled by the Trump administration. Piece by piece, the report dismantles the geopolitical lie built around the “Cartel de los Soles”, an entity as mythical as the Loch Ness Monster, but which is useful for justifying sanctions, blockades and threats of military intervention against a country which, incidentally, sits on one of the planet’s largest oil reserves.
Venezuela: A marginal country in the global drug trade
The 2025 UNODC report is crystal clear and should embarrass those who have demonized Venezuela through rhetoric. The report only briefly mentions Venezuela, stating that a small amount of Colombian drug production passes through the country en route to the United States and Europe. According to the UN, Venezuela has consolidated its status as a territory free from the cultivation of coca leaves, cannabis and similar crops, as well as from the presence of international criminal cartels.
This document merely confirms the findings of the previous 30 annual reports, which did not address Venezuelan drug trafficking because it does not exist. Only 5% of Colombian drugs transit through Venezuela. For context, in 2018, while 210 tons of cocaine passed through Venezuela, Colombia produced or traded as much as 2,370 tons—ten times more—and Guatemala produced or traded 1,400 tons.

On August 25, the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, said the Cartel of the Suns does not exist and “denounced that this narrative, used by imperialism to criminalize Venezuela and carry out a military intervention to control its resources, is a fiction used by the far right to overthrow governments that do not obey Washington’s whims,” reports the Orinoco Tribune.
